The Loire Estuary Decarbonisation initiative, led by a collective of industrial and public stakeholders, aims to drive the ecological, energy, and economic transition of the region to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
As a winner of the ADEME and France 2030 Low-Carbon Industrial Zones Call for Projects, Loire Estuary Decarbonisation is based on around twenty projects with the goal of accelerating the transformation of this industrial-port area, which supports 28,700 jobs.

Created by its five founding members in September 2023, the Loire Estuary Decarbonisation Association (ADELE) oversees the operational management of the Decarbonisation Loire Estuary programme.
Its mission is to bring together all stakeholders involved in the territory’s decarbonisation efforts.
